Understanding Group Therapy: A Journey of Collective Healing

The Different Colors of Group Therapy

Like a mosaic made of diverse pieces, group therapy comes in many forms—each one serving different needs.

Integrative Wellness Groups

These groups blend cognitive-behavioral techniques with holistic approaches, addressing the whole person—body, existential, mind, and emotions (B.E.M.E.).
Through art, writing, meditation, and discussion, members work together to identify patterns and create positive change.

Relational Growth Groups

In these spaces, we focus on deepening our connections—with others and with ourselves.
Members explore communication patterns, boundary-setting, and authentic self-expression in a safe, supportive environment.

Therapeutic Learning Groups

A balance of education and experiential learning, these groups help members understand their challenges while building practical tools for healing.
Whether working through addiction, trauma, or life transitions, members gain both knowledge and hands-on experience.

Creating Safe Spaces

Our groups typically include 6–8 members, creating an intimate yet diverse space for healing.
We meet virtually once or twice a week, ensuring consistent support while honoring your time and commitments.

Areas of Support

Group therapy can be especially helpful if you are navigating:

  • Anxiety and stress

  • Depression and mood challenges

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Addiction recovery

  • Life transitions

  • Grief and loss

  • Relationship patterns

  • Parenting challenges

  • Chronic health conditions

  • Personal growth and self-discovery

The Transformative Power of Group Work

When we share our stories in a group setting, something magical happens.
We realize we’re not alone. That simple truth can begin to shift everything.

Shared Healing

Our struggles may be unique, but they share common threads. In a group, those threads connect us and help us feel seen.

Deep Relief

There’s profound healing in being witnessed—especially by others who understand.
Many participants describe feeling unexpected relief and emotional release.

Growth Through Connection

Group therapy is like a safe rehearsal space.
You can practice setting boundaries, expressing yourself authentically, and receiving support—all within a community that holds you gently.

Finding Your Group

Choosing to join a group is a personal decision. You might ask yourself:

  • Am I ready to share part of my journey with others?

  • Could I benefit from hearing different perspectives?

  • Do I want to develop new skills in a safe, supportive space?

  • Am I seeking connection with others who understand?

At The Mosaic House, we offer a variety of virtual groups to meet different needs.
Each one integrates multiple healing approaches to provide a well-rounded, meaningful experience.
